The general settings that can be updated are: Name, Email, Time Zone, Default Currency, Require customer phone numbers, Checkout Intro Text and Email Settings. You can also add a company logo to your customer checkout page. (See the images below)
Name: This is the name of your Partial.ly merchant account and what customers will see as the business they are opening a payment plan with.
Email: This is your login email to your Partial.ly merchant portal, as well as the email address that will receive automated transaction communications from Partial.ly about payment plan sales activity.
Time Zone: This is the time zone that your business operates in. All payment plan transaction information will be associated to the selected time zone.
Default Currency: This is the default selected currency that will be selected when new offers and payment plans are being created. Regardless of the default currency selected, any currency can be selected for an offer or a payment plan.
Require customer phone numbers: This is a checkbox to toggle on/off the requirement for customer phone numbers in order to checkout and open a payment plan. Some merchants like to speak on the phone with their customers before sending out orders. If you have a Shopify account connected, and your Shopify settings require a customer phone number for orders, you'll need to have this checkbox selected. Go to your Shopify admin and select Settings -> Checkout and scroll down a bit to the Phone Numbers section.
Checkout Intro Text: We have default text to display on the customer checkout, but if you want to customize the intro text that customers see when they select the Partial.ly payment plan payment option, you can add whatever text you'd like in the "Checkout Intro Text" text box.
Emails: These checkboxes control the email communications that will be sent to you from Partial.ly (see Email Settings for more information)
**Important: if you make any changes to your general settings, make sure you select the "Update Settings" button at the bottom of the general settings section in order to save your updates.**
You may also update your company logo (or whatever image you'd like displayed on the customer checkout page). Whatever image you have loaded in this section will display on your customer checkout page as well as custom payment plans sent to customers via email.
